I have made some substantial progress on my special project. I devoted several hours everyday to my project and I really did get a lot done. I did have to go back and update some of my previous entries. But the new ones were perfected so I will not have to update them later on.
I plan on doing the same this coming week, work on my project as much as possible. I am committed to completing it so if I get in a time crunch, I am willing to go in on a Saturday morning and finish it.
Will keep you updated. So far so good.

Work on a Saturday! Are you crazy!?! You know, I think the American people would have a lot more respect for local government (and local government employees) if they realized how many hours per week we work. 40 hours? Yeah right. After public meetings, neighborhood town halls, etc., it is often over 50 hours per week. So, maybe we should just start making the people who complain about government inefficiency walk a mile in our shoes, next time they want to complain about government!
Thank you. We had a customer a few weeks ago, who told my supervisor, "I know things are slow, so take my plans to the reviewer I will stay here and wait for them." It is unbelieveable how so many people think that we are sitting around eating bon bons all day. But yes, between meetings, between customers coming in 5 minutes before 5pm. Anyway, I wish more people realized just how much we do before they critized us.
